About Glos keepers development academy

Glos Keepers Development Academy is a goalkeeper school based in the heart of Gloucestershire. We offer a variety of goalkeeper services and goalkeeper coaching for U8’s to U18’s, as well as dedicated ongoing adult goalkeeper training.

With FA and FAW qualified goalkeeping coaches, a passion for coaching modern techniques, skills and drills, we offer the best opportunity for goalkeepers to develop and reach their full potential.

Our service in the local area is unique and brings professional goalkeeping into the local football community.

Our main aim is to coach, support and help grassroots goalkeepers reach development, academy and professional standards. We can already boast that our keepers are reaching centres for Cheltenham Town, Swindon Town and Forest Green Rovers. Our close working relationship with Cheltenham Town Football club and their development centres gives our goalkeepers a good chance to progress in their development within a professional environment.

We assess goalkeepers when they first come to us and then continue to assess their progress. We will liaise with parents and carers via a regular written assessment form. We can then work on the areas needed.

We have the honor of training goalkeepers from around the County and beyond, including Cheltenham Town, Forest Green Rovers and keepers from over 30 different Grassroots football clubs and Academies.

We also run mentor programmes helping our older keepers on the coaching pathway. Several have now become coaches within our own GK Centre and employed in full time coaching roles. We work closely with Schools and Colleges assisting in work experience placements  and the DofE Award Scheme.
