Our Approach at Glos keepers
The FA Four Corner Model
It is essential that coaches and goalkeepers are aware of more than the game of football itself and are fully conscious of the wider issues which impact their development.
The FA four corner model for goalkeeper development outlines the range of influencing factors which may need to be addressed if a keeper is to reach their full potential.
Our coaches understand that each aspect of the four corners does not exist in isolation. Each of the corners is connected, and relies on support from the other three corners.
At Glos Keepers Development Academy we understand that the development pathway for each individual is unique and diverse, the needs of each player will move through all of the four corners throughout their development and will require support, in addition to our coaches, from clubs, coaches, managers and for younger keepers – parents.

Plan, Do, Review
We use a Plan, Do, Review model throughout all of our coaching sessions. This provides the ability for us to reflect effectively on our coaching and ensure we are tailoring sessions and maximising player development.
Using this model we can adjust, adapt and refine training sessions to the conditions, player requirements, their ability, the way they learn techniques and the surroundings.
We aim to create engaging and positive learning environments to support goalkeeper development to maximise their full potential.
Reviewing sessions with our goalkeepers at the end enables keepers to demonstrate understanding of techniques learnt through the session and identify any areas to work on.
