“My son Jake hadn’t played in goal until 3 years ago and I was made aware through Jake’s club of a local goalkeeping training academy held locally by Nigel. Jake was quickly made to feel welcome and it was clear to see how much he was enjoying the sessions. I was impressed with the way Nigel went about his training over the hour long sessions; they were varied and more importantly all the goalkeepers were totally engaged and this was primarily down to how Nigel conducts himself in explaining exactly what he expects from them.

Nigel himself is firm and clear with his instructions and I was very
impressed with the way constructive feedback was given to the
goalkeepers when instruction or mistakes were made. It’s a credit to how good these sessions are that they’ve grown in popularity and Jake is still really enjoying them 3 years later now at U14 level.

I would highly recommend any budding young keeper to join the Glos Keepers Development team to improve their skills and have fun at the same time.”
